This month of October has been all about Halloween, but today my daughter Justice and I set aside Halloween so we can participate in a great project.
We made 22 cards for I Feel The Love Project.
The project is for cards that will be given out in November, here is a brief summary from her page:
The I Feel the Love Project will be making Thanksgiving Cards during the month of October to be given to the residents of Surrey Place Care Center during November for Thanksgiving. We believe that delivering handcrafted cards at a major holiday such as Thanksgiving promotes the well being of the "mind, body, and spirit" of the residents at Surrey Place Care.
It' is such a good cause and all it takes is just a card.
If you would like to send one or a couple in you can find it here:
For all 22 cards we used:
DCWV Textured Carstock Matstack Jewel
DCWV Highschool Matstack
Tim Holtz: Swirls and Burlap
Darice: Wood grain & Autumn Words
Cuttle Bug: Swiss Dots & Distressed Stripes
A Child's Year
Celebrate with Flourish
K & Company
Yellow and White
Orange and White
Brown and White
These are the Cards I made:
11 cards total
These are the cards my daughter, Justice made:
11 cards from Justice.
We made a total of 22 cards for I Feel The Love Project.
This was so much fun. It's a way my daughter and I can spend time together and craft.
Two things we both like to do, but the best part is, while we are having fun, we are also in a small way, doing something nice for some one else.
That is the best part.
